2026 National High School Mathematics League – Tianjin Division Held at Yinghua
The 2026 National High School Mathematics League – Tianjin Division was held at Yinghua Academy of Tianjin on September 13. A total of 653 high school students selected from all 16 districts of Tianjin gathered on the Yinghua campus to compete in the preliminary and additional rounds. Wuding District was allocated 62 slots, of which 44 were Yinghua students, who competed alongside outstanding mathematics students from across the city.
As the host school, Yinghua completed the examination arrangements, administration, and on-site support in accordance with the competition regulations. Hosting a citywide academic competition reflects recognition of the school's educational strength and event-organizing capability, while also demonstrating Yinghua's continued exploration in academic competitions and the cultivation of top innovative talents.
Since 2017, Yinghua has established a systematic training framework for five major academic competitions: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and informatics. Led by gold-medal-winning coaches, the programs provide tiered and sustained development opportunities for students with strong academic interests and exceptional potential.
The programs are designed around students' interests, foundations, and stages of development. Through sustained training and exploration, students develop deeper subject understanding, logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and research skills, while building key competencies for future study and development.
To date, Yinghua students have won 74 national-level medals, including 4 gold, 29 silver, and 41 bronze medals, while 195 students have received first prizes at the provincial level. In mathematics competitions alone, Yinghua students have won 1 national gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals since 2017, with 37 students receiving first prizes at the provincial level.
Moving forward, Yinghua will continue to strengthen its five-subject academic competition programs, deepening the early identification and sustained cultivation of top innovative talents. By providing clearer pathways for students with academic strengths and innovative potential, the school aims to help more students' academic potential be recognized and supported.
